Rock Stars at our House

This weekend, thanks to a mutual friend, we were lucky enough to host Franz Nicolay (The Hold Steady), Dave Hause (The Loved Ones), and Jack Terricloth and Sandra Malak (World Inferno/Friendship Society) at our house.  It was so cool to get to know people way outside my social circle.  They were all incredibly interesting, funny, and talented.  I highly encourage you to attend one of their shows!

Paris, the city of love!

A very long time ago Erin and I met up in Paris for spring break.  We snapped a quick picture with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.  This month we went back to Paris for the first time since then and took another picture.

Tonight we got our Griswold Buteau Family Christmas Tree.  It was only the second tree we looked at but as soon as we saw it we knew it was the one.  When we finally got it home and put it in the stand we discovered it had a bird's nest inside.  No squirrels, luckily.
