The Puppini Sisters

This post is a bit overdue, but the beginning of this month we went to see the Puppini Sisters at the Pigalle club near Piccadilly Circus.  The show was fantastic.  Not only were the singers themselves amazing and funny, but the band was incredible - what a fun night out with a couple of Andy's work mates and thanks to them for knowing about the show!

Hey Dad, it's only 220!

Yesterday I tried to replace the dead lightbulb in our closet. The socket, however, was so loose as soon as I wiggled the bulb it caused a short and we lost power in most of our house. After a quick trip to the hardware store today I re-strung the fuse (something that hasn't been done since the '50s) and mounted a new fixture.

Thanks for all the time you spent teaching me about home electrics Dad; it really paid off today!

Easter Bunny

Tonight we told Edison that he had to get in bed so the Easter Bunny would come. His first question was "How does the Easter Bunny get into our house?" I replied, "magic!", which seemed to satisfy him for a moment until he asked his second question:

"Does the Easter Bunny wear a kilt?"

Well, since the Irish have laid claim to Leprechauns, the British to Father Christmas, and the Welsh to Dragons, it stands to reason the Easter Bunny must be Scottish.

So yes, Edison, the Easter Bunny must wear a kilt.

Painting butterflies

So I have complained a bit about all the grey days here - but as if to prove me wrong it has been a beautiful, sunny spring.   We'll see if it lasts, but the sunny days are so nice - and the kids (and I) love being outside.
